Drawing inspiration from the meaning of the word Halcyon "denoting a period of time in the past that was idyllically happy and peaceful" a hand drawn logo type was created for boutique hotel Halcyon House, located on the northern coast of New South Wales in the small coastal town of Cabarita Beach. A classic colour pallet of navy blue and crisp white coupled with textured paper stocks create a minimalist contrast the hotel's vibrant pattern rich interiors.

Vibrant photographs of the hotel interiors captured by Photographer Kara Rosenlund along with iconic drawings by New York Artist Wayne Pate add an additional layer of interest to the boutique hotel’s collateral.

Since opening in 2015 Halcyon House has won a number of prestigious awards including the 2019 Condé Nast Traveler Readers Choice Award and has been featured in publications including Vogue Australia, Qantas Magazine and Condé Nast Traveler.
